A brand-new YouTube Rewards Program is quietly being tested and users are getting paid just for watching and rating sponsored ads inside the platform.
At first, it sounded like another online rumor…
Until MrBeast, one of the biggest creators on the planet, posted a screenshot on X saying:
“Yes, this is real. YouTube is literally paying people to review ads now.”
After his post went viral, other creators like Marques Brownlee (MKBHD) and Casey Neistat jumped in, confirming that the program exists and that early testers are already earning daily rewards.
The idea is simple — and kind of genius.
YouTube wants to improve the quality of ads that appear before videos. To do that, it’s paying regular users to rate short ads based on relevance, creativity, and viewer satisfaction.
Each review gives you points that can be converted into cash inside an official companion app connected to your Google account.
Payments are made in U.S. dollars, and most testers report earning between $20 and $100 per day, depending on how many ads they review.
After MrBeast’s post, the hashtag #YouTubeRewards started trending across multiple platforms.Dozens of users have shared screenshots of their dashboards showing real dollar balances — and it’s spreading fast.
Creators are calling it “the most interesting side gig YouTube ever released,” especially because it doesn’t require posting content, showing your face, or having a channel. You just log in, review a few ads, and earn.
Jason P. — “I made $45 yesterday just by reviewing short YouTube ads. This might actually be legit.”
Maya R. — “Saw MrBeast’s post and thought it was capped — but I just got in. It really works.”
TechGuru87 — “If this goes public, it’s going to explode. YouTube’s smartest idea yet.”
According to early reports, the program is still in beta and only available to a limited group of U.S. users. YouTube is gradually inviting new testers, but insiders claim the final testing phase ends soon, with only a few open spots left this week.
If you miss this round, you may have to wait until the full public release — which could take months.
